One of the Best Japanese Restaurants I’ve Ever Tried!

The salmon was incredibly fresh and melted in my mouth — so soft and sweet. The beef tataki was super tender, and the jelly sauce matched perfectly. The New Zealand mussels were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor with a nice garlic aroma.

Dessert was amazing too — chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, topped with crunchy berries. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Japanese flavors. I’ll definitely be back again!

There’s something really special about Gohan on Scott. It’s simple, cozy, and the food just hits the spot every time. You can tell everything is made with love — fresh, flavorful, and comforting. The team is lovely too, always kind and down-to-earth. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to, not just for the food, but for how it makes you feel.

What a little gem in Blenheim. Popped in the other day for lunch and this place was surprisingly busy . I was very soon to find out why . The food here is delicious and very authentic . The menu is extensive so your spoiled for choice and the staff were attentive and friendly . I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu . Definitely give it a try Gohans will not disappoint.
